Tireless Efforts of Dera Sacha Sauda for Relief of Uttarakhand Flood Victims
July, 15 | In a bid to supply relief aid specially to the flood affected areas which have not been addressed by any organization, Dera Sacha Sauda followers have reached the most inaccessible regions traversing many impassable routes devastated by landslides. The volunteers, carrying the packets of relief material on their shoulders, reached in villages named Kotma, Kunjethi, Byonki, Kalimath, and Siyansugarh where no one dared to visit here apart from throwing relief material from helicopters. The second medical team of Dera Sacha Sauda, today, reached village Shiyansu Garh of Tehsil Ukhomath which was cut from Guptkashi due to the bridge fall and distributed the relief aid. The medical team examined 75 patients in this village & provided them free medicines. The spirit of volunteers to deliver the relief material to the doorsteps of victim families under the guidance of Revered Guru Ji was appreciated by all.
The villages where relief material was distributed today are 116 families in Khaat, 190 in Khadiya, 27 in Rela, 97 in Ravigram, 205 in Jamu, 225 in Naagjaghai, 135 in Serwani and 24 families in Badasu.
July 16 | Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers are busy in providing relief aid to every victim in Uttarakhand with all earnest. Besides, delivering relief material to the families, they are also helping to reconnect the villages which were cut off from the main routes due to landslides by mending broken routes. Today, relief material was distributed to 207 families in Kalimath village, 350 in Luwara, 400 in Lamgaundi, 277 in Narayankoti, 252 in Maikhanda, 110 in Khumeri, 138 in Vyung & Korkhi, 87 in Dhani, 35 in Jamu and 16 families in Gaurikund.
The medical teams of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers along with the Mobile hospital “Farishta” are also rendering their services to the flood victims. The specialists treated head injured patients also. Apart from this, the medical team visited several villages and examined & operated 87 patients in Dhani, 25 in Vyung & Korkhi, 28 in Khumera, 107 in Maikhanda, 23 in Narayangarh, 150 in Lamgaundi and 50 in Luwara. Whereas, a camp was organized in Guptkashi along with Farishta in which 150 patients were examined.
The selfless service and zeal of Dera Sacha Sauda Volunteers towards Uttarakhand flood victims has been appreciated by all govt. authorities and local people there. Over a month has passed to the calamity but the signs of devastation are clearly visible yet. The pain can still be felt in the eyes and face of victims. The calamity took away thousands of lives and destroyed hundreds of families. Several routes have been destroyed by landslides disconnecting many villages from the main district. 2-5 feet high debris can still be seen in Kedarnath Mandir. At this hour of tragedy, Revered Guru Ji Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan took care of the victims and sent 33 trucks of relief material with 200 volunteers and a medical team of 15 members.
