With a view to check environment degradation and make surroundings clean and green, a plantation drive was launched on 12th May, 2014 by Dera Sacha Sauda followers and members of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ welfare Force Wing at Long Bay Regional Park, Auckland (New Zealand). This drive was an open public event and was organized by City Council.

A total of 20 Dera members volunteered in this drive and performed tree plantation of around 2465 saplings in a short duration of 2 hours only. They also ensured that the saplings planted will be taken care of well to help them develop into grown up trees.

The enthusiasm demonstrated by the volunteer was a real treat to watch. The local residents and authorities of City Council acknowledged the efforts of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers who exhibited the real effort for saving earth and promoting healthy environment for the coming generations. Volunteers in return passed on the whole credence to Revered Guru Ji who is the true source of inspiration for all volunteers across the globe.

It is none other than Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan who is the inspiration of the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda. It was on 15th August 2009 that Revered Guru Ji initiated this welfare activity when lakhs of volunteers adhering to His single call planted more than 9 lakh saplings across the nation, which, by the grace of God got enlisted in Guinness Book of World Records.

This welfare activity has been named “Nature Campaign” by Revered Guru Ji and the reason behind its initiation is conservation of planet Earth by planting as many trees as possible to counter the depreciation of flora and to prevent environmental degradation to the extent possible.
